Good Afternoon,

We recently received information that the driver of this vehicle was driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol making him a danger to other road users and the public.

This morning (08/04/2026) officers from the Westhoughton Neighbourhood Team sighted the vehicle and acted on this information, whilst turning around to stop the vehicle the driver decided to abandon the vehicle in the middle of the junction and made off on foot.

Having left his phone, and other items we were able to identify the driver. He will be reported for leaving the vehicle in a dangerous position and the vehicle has been seized under the Road Traffic Act.
